Date Night

Last night Adam and I went to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants "Colorado Fondue." Since he's been traveling more and we tend to stay busy on the weekends, we just wanted to do something fun as a couple! After dinner, we came home and carved our pumpkins. We had a great time together! AND to top it off it actually feels like fall!!

Who needs the Ritz?

Saturday night I had some high school girls over for a night of pampering. We soaked our feet, used a homemade foot scrub that smelled delicious, moisturized with some fancy product I've had sitting under my bathroom sink, painted our toes and accessorized with foot art. We also refreshed our faces with mud masks. Adam and his friend Soon came back just in time from the guys night out to join the fun. I think they enjoyed it a little too much. I'm sure he's not going to appreciate me posting these pics from the night. It was no Ritz but it was just as fun!

Avery's Baptism Celebration

This Sunday was a special one at church because our niece, Avery, was baptized. It was a gorgeous fall day. Matthew's parents came down from Birmingham and Becca came home from Auburn.  I didn't get any pictures during the service but here are a few from the mini photo shoot.

The Secret Life of Bees

On Friday night, I went to the movie The Secret Life of Bees. It is based on the book by Sue Monk Kidd. If you have not read the book, I highly recommend you read it before you see the movie. 

When I got home this is what I found...

Just a quick update. At this point Bentley is feeling better. I found him in one of his favorite spots so I thought I'd share it with you. 

Cat says Trick or Treat

Maddie and I made this today. I used it as a puppet to teach her that the cat says "meow" although she says "neow". By the way...I got this cute little puppet at AC Moore. They have all of the seasonal items on sale.  I also bought these cute pumpkins for only $3.  

Book Club

Poor Mr. B

Bentley is sick again. I decided we would take him on our little adventure in the car this morning but as soon as we pulled up to our destination he got sick in the car. Then when I got him out of the car and took him to go potty it wasn't very pretty. I'll save the details but I just took this picture of him on the ride back and I thought you might want to see him. Usually he is crazy about riding in the car and looks out the window but not today. Today he just laid there looking pitiful! I covered the seats with paper towels since I feared what would happen on the way home. Now that we are home he just keeps whining and pacing all around our house.  I just don't know why he keeps getting sick like this??

Orange Beach

Last week was amazing! I spent the week with my parents in Orange Beach, AL. My mom celebrated 49 years on Friday so the beach was part of her birthday celebration. The weather was perfect all week. I just wish Adam could have been there too! We read books, took long walks, did a little shopping, and enjoyed fabulous dinners!  I didn't take many pictures put here are the ones I did take. Thanks Mom and Dad!!!
