So this is following up from my previous post about the adoption story (see post on August 18th)...
I recently was updated that the mom chose to keep her little girl. I am so thrilled as this was my prayer for this family. I am so grateful we were able to say "this is not our child" and she was able to say "this is my little girl" Here's an excerpt from the updated I received...
"Long story short, she decided to keep the baby. This was a very hard decision after so much effort she has put into this process but it is what she felt she needed to do. There were many opportunities/families but none of them seemed to work out. And this is ok b/c I do believe the Lord is moving in her heart which might have been difficult if she had to give her child up. Not that I know that, it just seems that things are working out and we are really seeing God's hand. She seems stronger than ever and feels the love of people around her, which is new for her. She'll definitely have some work ahead but she's fighting. The baby is doing very well too. Very healthy and seems happy. Her other boys have fallen in love with their little sister and are doing great. All in all it's moving forward."
